National Endangered Species Day is today! The United States Senate in 2006 declared the day to occur on the third Friday in May. Children could learn more at: Endangered Species Day. They could also view a list of some of the endangered species at: List. IDEA: Children could pick an endangered species from the list. Then they could make a poster of the animal by drawing the animal in the middle of a paper and surrounding it by facts.
